If you stop the GoldMine installer before it completes and then try to re-run it you get an error that says ‘another GoldMine installation is running’.

The fix for this is easy, but it does involve going into the registry (so, as with playing with scissors, make sure that a responsible adult is on hand).

The steps are:

1) Start>>Run>>regedit
2) Browse to hkey_local_machinesoftwarefrontrange solutionsGMInProgress
3) Delete the entire GMInProgress folder
4) Close regedit
5) Run the GoldMine installer again
