Mapping GoldMine data

04/03/2009 – in Add-Ons

It’s sometimes useful to think of your contacts geographically; it can give you a fresh perspective and allow you to plan routes and campaigns.

There are a couple of options:

1. Closest Contact For GoldMine allows you to build a group of all your contacts within a specified radius of a given postcode. This is really great if you are travelling to see a client and want to know who else is in the area.

2. Microsoft MapPoint can import contact data that you have exported from GoldMine and show their position on a map. It can calculate routes from one contact to another and do all sorts of other clever tricks. It’s a simple way of being able to visualise your contacts in relation to one another, which can often bring some surprising insights.
